Conference Program & Key Topics
A structured overview of key sessions, discussions and topics shaping the future of vehicle inspection.
The international conference Vehicle Inspection in the Age of Technology creates a professional platform for discussing the future of vehicle inspection in a time of rapid technological transformation of mobility.
Electrification, vehicle digitalization, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and software-defined vehicles are fundamentally changing the nature of vehicles – and therefore the requirements for their inspection.
The objective of the conference is to connect technological development, road safety and the practical functioning of vehicle inspection systems, and to create space for dialogue between all key stakeholders.
Day 1 – Strategic & International Perspective
The first day of the conference focuses on the broader European and global context of vehicle inspection.
The discussion is structured around three key areas:
- Technology – technological changes in vehicles and their impact on inspection methods
- Safety – the role of vehicle condition in reducing road accidents
- Future Role of Inspection – adaptation of inspection systems to new vehicle types and technological realities
The goal of this part is to define the main challenges brought by technological transformation and to discuss whether current inspection systems are ready to respond.

🔸 SPECIAL SESSION – AUTOSERVICES, FLEETS & INSURERS
The PTI Moment as a Business and Safety Opportunity
Vehicle safety is not created at a single moment of inspection.
It is the result of continuous maintenance and vehicle management.
A dedicated part of the first day focuses on the service sector and its role in the vehicle safety cycle, with particular attention to insurers and their growing connection not only to autoservices, but also to PTI and emission inspection stations.
One of the key concepts is the “PTI moment” – the periodic inspection as a natural point of contact between the vehicle, the customer and the service provider.
The conference opens a discussion on how this moment can be used to:
- strengthen customer relationships
- improve vehicle maintenance quality
- contribute to road safety
Insurers have long been natural partners of the service sector, and upcoming legislative changes will create a new connection with vehicle inspection through the introduction of insurance (PZP) verification during technical and emission inspections – a topic that raises important questions within the PTI sector.
The goal of this session is to support cooperation between inspection bodies, service providers and insurers, and to explore how service activities can be integrated into a broader vehicle safety ecosystem.
Day 2 – National Implementation: Practice & Technical Framework
The second day focuses on the practical functioning of vehicle inspection systems, primarily in Slovakia, but also in a broader context.
Technical services, inspection organizations and equipment providers will present their expertise, focusing on:
- methodology of technical and emission inspections
- vehicle originality checks
- legislative application in practice
- operational experience from inspection stations
- technologies and equipment used in inspection processes
The objective of the second day is to connect strategic and technological discussions from Day 1 with their real-world implementation and to create a professional platform for knowledge exchange among technical services, operators and experts.
